Demon Slayer is a Japanese dark fantasy adventure manga series by Koyoharu Gotoge. It began airing on April 6th, 2019. As you can see, recently it has been gaining much more attention. It not only attracted newcomers but also excited fans of the series.

Why should you watch Demon Slayer?

Demon Slayer now holds the record for best selling manga. Not to mention, It even crossed one-piece manga after all. Its production is prominent anime studio Ufotable, famous for its work in the Fate series. In addition to producing some popular anime, it is well-known for the quality of animation. And one more good thing that makes Demon Slayer a great anime is, it doesn’t contain any fillers. Despite these, there are a few aspects that made the anime a true masterpiece.

Plot

The story follows Kamado Tanjiro, a young boy who lives a happy life in the village by selling charcoal. However, one day his family gets attacked by a demon and devoured. But the only one who survives is his younger sister Nezuko, who gets turned into a demon. She might’ve become a demon, but Nezuko’s human feelings remain deep inside her heart, and she can hold the urge to devour humans. But anyway, Tanjiro decides to turn her back to human whatever it takes.

However, he trains hard to become strong and joins the Demon Slayer corps to turn her sister back to human form. He gains the power to fight against demons and prepares for the day that he will defeat his ultimate enemy. Doesn’t the plot seem fantastic? I mean, how many series contain such a good scenario.

Characters

The character development in the anime is undoubtedly impressive. Each character has satisfying screen time, and it conveys the pure emotion of their stories. And the way characters have introduced a perfection of the screenplay. To make you understand a little more, mentioning characters would be the right choice.

1. Kamado Tanjiro

Tanjiro is the protagonist of the anime, and his role is down to earth. If there is another person than him in his place, they would’ve sought revenge instead of trying to protect her sister Nezuko. But Tanjiro decided to do the right thing. It alone proves he has a pure soul.

2. Muzan Kibutsuji

Muzan Kibutsuji is the main antagonist of ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba.’ The way he was portrayed in the series is entirely evil. He is the most powerful of all the demons. Can’t say much about him; after all, you don’t want me to spoil the thrill.

3. Kanao Tsuyuri

Kanao Tsuyuri is also a demon hunter. She is one of the characters you’ll adore just for her cuteness alone. Even though she doesn’t talk much, her looks attract viewers, and her characterization is lovely.

Ost

Whoever watched this anime can easily recall the name ‘ Hinokami Kagura’ when they hear the name ost. The ost ‘Kamado Tanjiro no Uta’ left a scar in the hearts of people who watched it. And the opening “Gurenge” is an absolute masterpiece. When it comes to ost, it is everything for the series.

Animation

Well, most of the people seek good quality of animation. And luckily, those who watch this anime are blessed with great visuals. And I firmly believe that the animation is one of the substantial aspects of Kimetsu no Yaiba. After all, Ufotable studios never end up making animation terrible, not even a slight chance.

Emotional Appeal

The one part where viewers adore this anime is ‘ Emotion. ‘ The way Tanjiro cares for her sister and Nezuko looks after Tanjiro is so heartwarming. And the backstories of the demons make you feel sad for them. It isn’t just about backstories that make you feel emotional; each character has it’s own way of emotion.

Humour

Who doesn’t want entertainment? And luckily, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba entertains the viewer to their limit. It’s not just about fighting scenes and emotions. When it comes to fun, this anime does make you like it even more. No one can withstand the laughter when Inosuke calls Kamado Tanjiro as ‘Kamaboko Gonpachiro.’ And literally, every scene with Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Tanjiro is filled with entertainment. And there is going to be a sequel movie for the series. The film’s name is ‘Mugen train’ since Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ended with a massive cliffhanger.

Demon Slayer movie: Mugen Train

As you can see, the “Demon Slayer” ending made everyone excited for the film, and now the staff officially released its trailer. The new trailer shows the setting of the film where, Inosuke enjoying his first train ride, Zenitsu panicking as usual and also Kyojuro Rengoku, a Flame Hashira with innovative looks speaking of whom, they also revealed a visual featuring him.

And the movie is made by the same staff, and Ufotable is once again back with its animation. So we can expect beautiful animation from the sequel. Viewers all over the world are not only excited, but more than a few people are signing the petitions to get the movie in their region. So, there is no doubt. The film is going to be a great hit in 2020 for sure.
