Accel World is a 24-episode anime series about an overweight guy who attempts to unveil the details related to the creator of Brain Burst along with Kuroyukihime.
Accel World: EX is an OVA series consisting of two episodes, and you can watch it after the first season if you haven’t yet. Furthermore, the movie Accel World: Infinite Burst consists of the recap of the first season. So, you can entirely ignore watching it as well. Now onto the main topic.
Accel World Season 2 Release Date!
Accel World season 2 is yet to get an official announcement. Although it has been over 9 years, there is no official season 2 release date from the franchise yet. However, let’s not lose hope.

When will Accel World Season 2 Comes Out?

Studio Sunrise takes up on continuous projects and since it didn’t show any interest in Accel World season 2, it has moved on and there is also another reason. Author of Accel World is Kawahara Reki, who is also author of Sword Art Online.
After a few years since Accel World debuted, he began focussing on Sword Art Online. So, it is highly unlikely we’ll be seeing another season anymore. But don’t give up hope. We have seen Classroom of the Elite season 2 announcement recently after a long time.
