Black Clover Anime Film Unveils Title, Trailer, Cast and Worldwide Premiere Dates!

Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King release date

Black Clover anime’s official website announced that the franchise’s upcoming film titled “Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King (Black Clover: Mahоtei no Ken)” will debut on Netflix worldwide & in Japanese Theaters on March 31, 2023 with a teaser. The official website has also disclosed a visual and a new cast member.

The creator of the manga himself, Yuki Tabata, serves as the movie’s chief supervisor and original character designer. The character Konrad Leto will get a voice-over by Toshihiko Seki, who happens to be a former wizard king.

Synopsis :

The story of Black Clover original anime focuses on a young boy Asta, who happens to be an orphan and grows up with another young orphan boy called Yuno. While everyone is gifted with magical powers by birth, Asta is somewhat not blessed with such powers and focuses on his physical prowess.

Black Clover film’s production is undertaken by the same team responsible for the production of the anime. Ayataka Tanemura (Black Clover) will be directing the film, Itsuko Takeda will design the characters, and Minako Seki will compose the music.

Premiered in Japan in 2017, the show had 51 episodes in total but continued with the second season in 2018 and then again with a third season in October 2019. The anime pulled the curtain down with its final episode, the 170th in March 2021. While the release date seems far away, you can stream all 170 episodes in sub and dub on Crunchyroll.
