Bocchi the Rock! won the Anime Trending Awards in 2022. The anime not only won “Anime of the Year” from the community but also seven other categories: Adapted Screenplay, Episode Directing and Storyboarding, Soundtrack, Voice Cast, Humor, Music Anime, and Slice of Life.

The anime series got off to a shaky start in the Most Anticipated Fall 2022 Anime Polls, peaking at 13th place. The series debuted in its ninth position on the charts in its first week. It reached the fourth position between weeks two and four. From the fifth week, the anime became one of the highest-rated series for the Fall 2022 season. From week five, the series alternated between first and second position, eventually falling to third place in week nine. It finished strong in the final two weeks of the Fall 2022 charts, finishing second.
Synopsis :
Hitori Gotou, as “Bocchi-chan,” is an introverted and shy girl who constantly begins her interactions with “Ah…” She fantasized about performing at her school’s talent show after becoming a skilled guitarist and uploading videos of herself playing the guitar online under the name “Guitar Hero.” Not only could she not find any bandmates, but before she knew it, she was in high school and still hadn’t made a single friend!
She was on the verge of becoming a recluse when Nijika Ijichi, the drummer of Kessoku Band, reached out to her. And as a result, her daily life began to change gradually.
