As you already know, Crunchyroll Expo is one of the biggest and crowdiest anime conventions hosted every year. But in 2020, it seems like the outcome might take a turn. Initially, the event that was going to be held in California announced a cancellation. Now it seems a virtual event will be held as recently announced by Crunchyroll Expo.

Crunchyroll Expo Announces First Wave of Info!
With this confirmed event, Crunchyroll Expo announced its first wave of guests, panels, and programming. The cast and creators from the famous anime shows like Rent-a-Girlfriend, So I’m Spider, and The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter is selected as the first wave’s line up. There has also been an official press release about the event.

- V-CRX attendees will get a chance to hear from the cast of Rent-a-Girlfriend, So I’m Spider, and The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter. And these famous casts also include some people like the voice actress of Emilia from Re: Zero and the voice actress of Aqua from Konosuba.
- The authors of the light novels of So I’m a Spider and So What will make an appearance at the event.
- In addition to these guest appearances, there will also be a New Crunchy City Anime Arts District and the Cosplay Cup. These are also available online if you wish to buy them. More importantly, artists will be added every two weeks.
- The Cosplay Cup lets you act as your favourite anime character by wearing fan-created costumes. The Cosplay Cup will mostly take place on September 5 and the interested people are to submit their applications by July 26.
- This Virtual Crunchyroll Event that brings together the anime community will stream from September 4 to 6 in crunchyrollexpo.com.

Final Thoughts
This event might not be as exciting as you expect because of COVID-19, we can at least be glad that it’s happening.
