Fantasy Novel “Kijin Gentosho” Gets an Anime Adaptation!

Kijin Gentosho is one of the most renowned fantasy novels, and probably many readers have thought how great it’d be to see it animated.

Well, at the end of the PV for the manga’s first volume, it was announced that the novel “KIjin Gentosho” is now in the works for an animated series. However, it’s just an announcement for now, and how, when it will be distributed is still unknown.

Synopsis:

“The story sets in the Edo period, and a man named Jinta guards the shrine maiden known as “Itsukihime” in the mountain village of Kadono. When he encounters a mysterious demon who speaks of the far future, he travels through time to find out the true meaning of wielding a sword.”

  • The novel was first serialized on a Japanese user-generated novel publishing website in 2015 and later by Futabasha as a print editoon since June 2019.
  • So far, there are aroound 230, 000 copies in printed edition and seven volumes available in Japan.
  • The first volume of the manga was released in Japan on September 9.
  • Both CM for the novel and the manga version are narrated by Taku Yashiro.
