My Hero Academia Announces Second Summer OVA & Its Title!

Official Twitter account of My Hero Academia anime has released a new title for the 2nd OVA episode that will be released in summer 2022. Which will take place during the internship at Endeavors’s Agency arc, it’s titled “Laugh! like hell”.

The 2-episode OVA series will get an early screening across 10 theaters in Japan from June 16 to June 19. Season 5 ended last September with a major cliffhanger, leaving audiences speechless to wonder what fate holds for our young heroes.

The series has proved to be unpredictable as it has been slowly shifting into a darker tone compared to its previous seasons as it gears up for an intense yet exciting future. Check out the new OVA visual below.

My Hero Academia quickly renewed and gave a fall 2022 release to season 6 before the end of season 5. As the Manga serialization is ongoing, you can catch up to the latest compelling chapters before season 6 comes out.

My Hero Academia is a Manga series by Kohei Horikoshi that has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2014. The Manga received an anime adaptation by Studio Bones in 2016, and has had 5 seasons so far, with each being a critical and commercial hit.

The new OVA will somewhat be of Lighthearted nature, as fans will be given a short break from the intensity of the previous and upcoming episodes, for which we can’t wait.
