My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission Takes #1 Spot in Japan’s Box Office!

My Hero Academia World Heroes Mission

My Hero Academia films have never failed to reach the expectations of anime fans. Whether it be Two Heroes, which grossed over 27$ million, or Heroes Rising, which broke the records for grossing over 29$ million.

Now with the third film, it proved once again that My Hero Academia movies always rock. Thanks to the 20-page special-making book given as the final bonus item to the first 300,000 theatergoers, the third film of the franchise, “My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission” movie earned 155 million yen (1.4 million in USD) on the sixth weekend by taking the No. 1 spot of the weekend box office ranking.

This is the second time it has happened since it was released. The last time was in the fourth weekend of its release, August 28-29. So far, the film’s box office gross in Japan has reached 2.9 billion yen (26.34 million in USD).

It is already the fourth top-grossing anime film in the whole of Japan. I wouldn’t be surprised if it makes it to the top 3 spots sooner or later.
