one piece manga

One Piece has been the most sold manga for around two decades. It might have lost reigning sales record to Demon Slayer in 2019, but that doesn’t mean they lost the race. The franchise of One Piece is thriving on both on and off screens since its air. And the manga is here to prove its excellence among the insane sales record.

According to the latest information from the Viz media, One Piece is nearing its sales and is about to hit the half-billion sales over the world. In a live report from Manhattan Web, it is revealed that One Piece has sold over 470 million copies to date.

Basically, the sales record is determined by the number of volumes sold in Japan. And with the recent volume, the sales of the manga even gone higher. The sales confirm that 390 million of the One Piece are from Japan. And rest of the volumes are divided amongst 42 countries that are officially licensed by the anime. Let’s say a country like the United States. In the U.S, Viz media owns all the access to One-piece manga through the digital library and that too at affordable prices.

For those who love to keep track of manga sales data, it previously hit its record in December with 460 million sales over the world. No wonder there were only 70 million copies available outside the U. S. And one of the reasons for its success in the western part is the ongoing Wano Country Arc and the live-action Netflix series, which the studio has promised to release in future.

Even though One Piece is popular, it has gained much more popularity in recent years. Hope it’ll continue like this, and the saga of One Piece will spread all over the world. How long do you think it’ll take for One Piece to reach half-billion manga sales. Let us know your thoughts in the comment section regarding the anime or manga.
