One Piece Released a Short Live-Action Series “We Are One!”

one piece live action drama

With around 100 manga volumes, 1000 anime episodes, and 22 years of legacy, it is not surprising how much One Piece means to people. In celebration of this loyalty and love, Japan has released a short live-action (perhaps I should say a mini-drama) inspired by stories all over the world.

You can view the first episode of We Are One “Wataru the Entrepreneur” right here, and it is only 10 minutes (subtitles are included):

After viewing the drama, we can come to a conclusion that there is no “typical” One Piece fan because from passionate young men to ballerina rivals, everyone finds inspiration from the characters Luffy, Nami, Zoro, and the rest of the crew.

In addition to the drama, the first look of Yamato, a manga fan-favorite character, has been revealed in the second episode. If you want to view all the episodes of this mini-drama, you’ll find them on the official One Piece Japanese YouTube Channel, or I’ll leave a link down below.

If you want to view the list of all the One Piece references you’ve missed in the drama, you can sail over to the We Are One website. And this is not the end of fun for you.

Radwimps! You might have heard about them. This J-Pop band composed phenomenal songs for popular anime like “Your Name” and “Weathering With You,” provided a full video song celebrating the drama. The song titled “Twilight” is filled with the energy of the Straw Hat Pirates crew.

Soon One Piece will reach 1000 episodes this year, and as a huge fan of One Piece, I feel proud and can’t wait to witness how the story progresses from here on. If you are the same as me, let me know what you think in the comment section below.
