Tokyo has been dawning with these flesh-eating ‘ghouls’, an alternate reality in which they exist with humans. They go about their lives hiding their true identities to evade pursuit from the authorities.
Being a ghoul comes with a lot of burden, a burden of being different from humans on a cellular level. A regular ghoul can generate up to 4–7 times more kinetic energy than any normal human.
Their skin is resistant to ordinary piercing weapons. Each ghoul has a ‘Kagune’. A stronger Kagune called Kakujas is achieved when a ghoul repeatedly cannibalizes another ghoul. Facts aside, here are the strongest ghouls in Tokyo Ghoul anime.

10. Hinami Fueguchi
She was the daughter of Asaki and Ryouko Fueguchi. Hinami has a troubled childhood when she witnessed the murder of her father and mother. Her agony knew no bounds when she saw her mother’s kagune being used as a quinx weapon for the CCG investigator.
She has served as a member of Anteiku before joining Kaneki’s organization, Goat. She possesses two Kagune, one is used as a defensive shield and the other for offensive purposes, and also has superhuman senses.
9. Touka Kirishima
Touka became the savior of Kaneki when he turned into a ghoul. She was his protector and used he Kagune to injure the Gourmet when he kidnapped Kaneki.
She has a strong will, and her Kagune has the ability to generate electricity that can cause immense destruction. Furthermore, she also possesses super human speed and high durability. She can even last longer in a battle than his brother Ayato can.
8. Ayato
He has striking resemblance to his sister Touka, Ayato is an executive of Aogiri tree. Ayato also goes by the name “Black Rabbit.” Before joining the Aogiri Tree, Ayato used to wander all the wards of Tokyo, bringing chaos and wreckage wherever he went.
His Kagune, similar to Touka, is a shade of vermilion. He became stronger when he joined Aogiri Tree, becoming a stronger individual. He was also seen partnering with Kaneki for various missions.
7. Uta
He is a member of the group called ‘clowns’, Uta has a complex personality. He used to be a sadistic ghoul, relishing in the sufferings of others. Since then, he had changed and now can sense empathy.
He sells masks and is known as No Face by the CCG investigators. His strength became the ‘peacemaker’ for the 4th ward. Uta’s kagune takes the form of tails that can strike opponents from far-off.
6. Seidou
He was a former Rank 2 Ghoul investigator who was assigned to the 20th ward to investigate the Gourmet. As a human investigator, he is earnest and has an admiration for his exceptional superiors.
As a ghoul, he has a depraved sense of justice and is a merciless killer with little or no regard for human life. Though he was not born as a ghoul, yet he was the strongest member of the Aogiri Tree.
He could slaughter high ranked investigators in the blink of an eye and had regenerative abilities.
5. Tatara
A loyal individual to the One-Eyed King, Tatara holds himself at a high pedestal. A former member of the Chinese ghoul organization, Tatara became a direct subordinate of One-Eyed King and one of the Aogiri Tree’s leader.
He has been a ruthless killer and is capable of slaughtering an entire squad of CCG investigators. He has strong regenerative powers and can withstand heavy attacks.
4. Noro
Noro was entrusted to raise Eto (the ‘one eyed ghoul’) by Yoshimura and was entrusted with the Aogiri Tree. He almost appears invincible and is a quiet man and almost appears mummified.
He speaks with his actions, an aggressive and unpredictable ghoul with insane regenerative power that outweighs all. As an eerie silence sets, you can witness an intimidating giant that is Young Noroi (before he joined Aogiri Tree).

The founder leader of Aogiri Tree, she is the real One-Eyed Owl, the half-human and half-ghoul daughter of Yoshimura and Ukina. Eto has a sarcastic personality who relishes in other’s suffering.
She has a strong intuition that she uses to exploit to the fullest when dealing with her victims. Remorseless slaughtering humans and ghouls alike, there is an extreme lack of empathy in Eto.
She is filled with despair for the world and wants to see it change so that ghouls are not persecuted for existing. Her Kagune is far more advanced than any other ghouls. Eto was completely unfazed from attacks.
2. Yoshimura
The father of Eto and the head of Anteiku, Yoshimura is one of the strongest characters in Tokyo Ghoul. He once went with the name the One-Eyed Owl, to protect his daughter, Eto. His Kagune takes the form of two to four Kakuhou that forms into spears emanating from his arm.
He has been trying repeatedly to cover up for his daughter’s actions. Yoshimura has the firepower to take down many foes. He is able to overpower many opponents in a matter of seconds.
1. Kaneki Ken
The main protagonist of Tokyo Ghoul series. Kaneki was a human who turned into a ghoul because of an operation done. Kaneki gained superhuman strength as a ghoul but was finally transformed into the white hair ghoul, when Jason tortured him trying to find Rize.
He has been up against many ferocious ghouls and CCG investigators alike. The strength, he acquired, has made him one of the strongest characters in the Tokyo Ghoul manga and anime.
