Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld Part 2 is supposed to release on April 25, 2020. According to our last post on the second part of Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld, it was confirmed by the official Twitter account of Sword Art Online that it would premiere this month. We hate to say it. But it seems like we have to wait a bit longer than we think.
According to the official website of Sword Art Online, the second part of the Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld will be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Why SAO? Seriously, at first, there was a delay in Funimation dub releases, then the Princess Principal film and now its long-awaited anime Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld.

Delaying the Funimation dub releases might hurt less because even if we can’t watch the anime in the dub, at least we get to watch it in Japanese sub. But delaying the anime like Princess Principal and Sword Art Online can show a significant impact on fans. We’ve been waiting for months since part 1 of Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld has ended on January 12, 2020. But it seems like there is no reason to blame the studio or staff. All they do is care for the welfare of fans all over the world.

When will the Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld part 2 release?
It seems like the studio didn’t leave us in a dilemma of wondering when it will release. Instead, they did reveal its further release date besides the news of delaying the series. The website confirmed that it is set to premiere in July, with a date and time is not yet confirmed. It really is bad news after waiting for many months, and still, we have to wait two more months. Well, no. With this delay, our excitement will be far more than it used to be.
Other anime shows they delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak are Re: ZERO Season 2, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax, and many anime movies, including Princess Principal: Crown Handler. Since April 7, there has been a state of an emergency in Japan, and it will stay in effect for at least a month. By considering these circumstances, it is confirmed that it will air in July. If there is any further information regarding the Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld, we’ll make sure to update it.
