The Seven Deadly Sins Grand Cross Fun tends to the West!

As we all know, The Seven Deadly Sins is one of the most popular anime series out there. With its manga coming to an end, and with the low quality of animated episodes from the last eight episodes, fans have been in a double disappointment. And to cheer up the fans, the Seven Deadly Sins  Grand Cross, a video game which is created by Netmarbleand pretty famous in Japan, finally makes its way to the West.

If you’re a big fan of the anime, then the game is heaven for you, and it’s so simple to play. If you haven’t seen the anime yet, it is still enjoyable.  The game is simple to run, but mastering the card battle mechanics is the hardest part.

Seven Deadly Sins follows the first and second seasons of the anime, which includes only 3D graphics and cutscenes. Fans of the anime will get to experience the key visuals from the anime along with the brand-new storylines exclusive to the game. If you’ve played card battle games in the past, then Seven Deadly Sins Grand Cross will seem familiar, and mastering the battle mechanics will become much more manageable.

What’s so exciting about The Seven Deadly Sins Grand Cross?

In the game, you can control a team composed of four characters. Three of these are main characters, and the other one will remain as the backup when one of your mains falls. The game needs many aspects since the anime has different characters with different power levels and abilities. And surprisingly, it has many different characters with individual skills.

Every character has three cards assigned to them- Attack, Debuff, and Stance. You start with the seven cards out of nine, and if any of the two characters have the same type of cards, then it will be a combinational attack card known as a 2-star card. And this 2-star can also be created manually by moving the cards, though this counts as one move. You can also skip the moves if you desire. The characters are made in different categories and with various abilities:

Best PvP Characters

  • Ban
  • Gowther
  • King

Best Raid Characters

  • Cain
  • Gowther
  • Gustaf

Best Single Target Characters

  • Meliodas
  • Slader

Best AoE Characters

  • Elizabeth
  • Hawk
  • Gowther
  • Howzer

All of these characters are available in SSR, SR, and R tiers. But one thing they vary is the PowerLevel. The power level varies through each tier, and as you upgrade the character, its power level is raised. It is a terrific concept, after all. If you want to take a look at the gameplay, you can watch the trailer here:

As you progress, you’ll meet new characters in the way, and most characters start at R or SR tier. You can unlock these characters as you clear the levels or by opening the summon boxes with the requisite amount of diamonds. And these diamonds can be earned by clearing the daily missions, leading missions, or only by logging in every day.

Once you have an SSR hero, you can upgrade them to the maximum level and use it to the full extent. This version of the Seven Deadly Sins Grand Cross contains the same content as the Japan version. It seems like North American players got hours and hours worth of material. It includes multiplayer modes like co-op and 3v3 PVP matches. Since the game uses global servers, there will always be someone out there to challenge you. Just because it is a fun game, don’t expect much less from it. It even has regular updates, including the events that can earn more rewards and introduces new characters.

As for the review of the game, it is worth the time, and overall it gives an enjoyable experience. Well, if you’re more familiar with the anime, I swear you’ll love this game, and in no time, it might as well be one of your favorites. Stay tuned for more updates!
