“The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat” postponed to October Tentatively!

The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat

The anime adaptation of the popular light novel series written by Rui Tsukiyo and illustrated by Reia was originally slated to premiere in July 2021 but now has been postponed to October according to the official website of the series Ansatsu Kizoku.

Specific reasons for the delay were not mentioned but only that they plan to broadcast it in October. The anime is being produced by Silver Link of Non Non Biyori fame and Studio Pallette

The story is about the world’s greatest assassin who happens to be an elderly man and his reincarnation into another world by a goddess. She does this she says because she needs his skills as an assassin to prevent the world from collapse caused by a Hero no less.

He awakens as a baby named Lugh Tuatha Dé in this new world of magic and swords and prepares to save it before its demise prophesied by the goddess to be 16 years in the future. The teaser trailer and character designs and all related information about the anime adaptation can be found in the website link given above.

Rui Tsukiyo shot to fame earlier in the year due to the anime adaptation of his controversial light novel series “Redo of Healer” that involves a “revenge rape” plot. The anime turned out to be one of the most popular animes of the year despite harsh reviews from critics.

He was recently interviewed by the popular YouTuber Joey – The Anime Man about the series and its adaptation. In the interview, he also talks about how he started his journey as a writer and what motivated him to write such a polarizing series.

You can check out the interview here:

While “The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat” is written by the same author its anime adaptation will assuredly not cause as much controversy and if you have read the series you will surely not miss it!
