TokyoTreat Box Review!

Before giving an overall opinion, let’s taste the individual items and get you onboard with taste and quality.

Morning Menu Banana Castella

Right after ripping the seal of the packet, I can feel the sweet aroma. However, it doesn’t come close to the feeling of touching the fluffy snack and the taste is pretty good too.

With a mixture of banana and a little sugar, it feels just like eating a usual cake but somehow feels a little different. The good thing is, the sweet bread and banana layers are separated, and you can feel them differently on your tongue.

Chupa Chups Strawberry Cream Soda

Although strawberry is a flavor I like, this Soda felt a little off with the first sip. I’m not much of a fan of Sodas to begin with; So, from my perspective, it is tasty yet feels a little similar to beer.

It is not your usual drink but during hot summer or when you’re in a sunny beach, it definitely goes well with the mood.

Kakinotane

Kakinotane is a unique snack with multiple flavors included in one. First it feels a little sweet, then with a crunch, a little spice adds up to the tongue and surprises the taste buds.

Due to a mix of dairy products, its taste is enhanced, and it is a pretty good snack overall. You could eat it as a little evening snack if you would rather not eat any heavy foods, or you could also use it as a snack to eat while having a cool drink.

Umaibo Mentai

Umaibo Mentai is the perfect snack to relive your childhood days as you can recall eating similar ones. It has a slight mixture of sweetness included with a moderate amount of spice. Although it doesn’t come close with the snacks I’ve eaten previously, it’s not bad.

Banana Man Marshmallow

This little sticky guy hides a lot more than you can expect at first glance. It is just like a candy, but you can’t get rid of him easily from the mouth.

The taste is pretty sweet and needs a little while to swallow, but I recommend you savor it before you completely eat it.

Jagatteru

It’s not like we never had potato snacks or french fries, but somehow these feel different. While they might not be as spicy as french fries, the favor of potato is quite rich. Whether it be you’re eating a burger or pizza, Jagatteru could serve as a great side dish.

Pure Potato Truffle & Rock Salt Chips

Just like Jagatteru, these contain high potato flavor and just the right amount of salt to enhance its taste. It’s not an exaggeration, but these are one of the best and tastiest chips I’ve tasted to date.

The chips are crispy and a little crunchy, making them the perfect choice for a short snack, whether it be you’re walking or enjoying the sunset on a beach.

Don’t confuse this little cute guy for a small pillow because it is not. Although it is not as tasty as it appears, it has the texture of sweetness in every ounce of it. Not the best fluffy candy, but your kids are sure to love it.

Yaki Edamane Cracker

I’ve never tried crackers before, nonetheless the ones from Japan. However, these Yaki Edamane Crackers feel like salty biscuits I used to it in the childhood.

Although its taste is a bit mixed with slight hint of dairy products, it can be considered as a time pass meal.

Watermelon Seed Ramune Candy

As the name suggests, these little bean like pills are candies but with amazing watermelon flavor. The taste is pretty good, and you can have them anytime you feel like it.

Summer Surprise KitKat

I’ve never been much of a chocolate fan, but this Kit Kat certainly felt different. The chocolate flavor is matcha latte, and it is just incredible.

The crunchy layer is similar to usual chocolates we often eat, but the whole flavor feels fantastic. I could eat a hundred of them, but I’ve only got like ten of them in the box.

Sakusaku Panda Salted Vanilla & Choco Cookies

This is the first time I’ve had salted biscuits with whipped cream on the back. Although I’ve eaten plenty of cream biscuits in the childhood, it doesn’t take much effort to notice the difference. A great way to enhance the taste of the biscuit, and the taste was pretty decent.

Sour Paper Candy Cola

I never had a combination of Sweet and Sour candies and top it off, it comes with cola flavor. It’s just like eating a paper, but the taste reaches the mouth in a few seconds, and you need time to adjust to it.

I felt it somewhat not to my liking, but it is a unique flavor and trying something new is not bad once in a while.

Mini Milk Chocolate Balls

If you’re not hungry but still want something in your mouth to fill in the taste buds, these Mini Milk Chocolate Balls come in quite handy. They’re moderate in taste, but you can buy it for kids, and they’ll love it.

Chilled Tanuki Soba

I’ve saved this one for the last, as it requires a few minutes of time to get it prepared. As the name suggests, this isn’t your regular noodles, instead feels a little different.

As an Indian, it felt a lot different from normal food. Adding both sauce and toppings done the job with improving the taste a little better. Overall, it is a decent Soba you can eat as a quick meal.
