Big News! Demon Slayer isn’t Over Yet, A New Epilogue is On The Way!

Fans of Demon Slayer anime & manga have been feeling low since the author released the last chapter on May 17th, 2020. It was a sign that the story of Demon Slayer is over, and we may not get other spin-offs either. However, with the recent news, we can say that the manga yet has to present us with more storyline.

Today, Shueisha announced that the final volume of the manga added 39 new pages and it will ship on December 4. Out of these 39 pages, 14 pages contain the epilogue and 25 pages as bonus extra content. Shueisha also announced that including digital sales, there will be a total of 120 million copies available as of December 4.

The initial run of the 23rd volume will have 3.95 million copies and two short spinoffs featuring Tomioka Giyu and Kyojuro Rengoku will be compiled into a single volume.

The title is decided as “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Gaiden” and it will ship on the same day as the epilogue volume. The initial run of this spinoff is estimated to be over 1 million copies. It will be the first spinoff ever with such an initial run in Weekly Shounen Jump.

Author of the Demon Slayer manga Gotouge presents us an artbook and a second fanbook as thanks to the fans who have been supporting him through the years and it will ship on February 4. So, if you’re up for it, wait for the date when they let you pre-order them.
