Dororo is undoubtedly one of the best anime MAPPA has ever animated, given how it deviates from its traditional animation, and it must have been challenging for the studio to adjust to the manga panels. If there is anything else that fans of Dororo manga were disappointed with, it is the direction the story went in the anime, which is a little different from its source. At the end of the first season, we see Hyakkimaru regain his eyesight and reunite with Dororo.
So, if the anime plans to return for another season, we would likely see another adventure from the duo; perhaps Dororo will become crucial in this one by learning sword skills and assisting Hyakkimaru.
