Guts is probably the coolest main character I’ve seen. His past was tragic; he got betrayed by the only person he ever thought would be his friend. I still remember how he slew an army of 100 people even though he was wounded.
9. Tobirama Senju
- Anime: Naruto
- Traits: Cool asf, Talented, and Racist
Tobirama Senju might be a nationalist who loathed Uchiha, but in truth, he’s an extremely talented ninja who invented multiple techniques that inspired many new generation ninjas. He’s definitely my favorite Hokage of all.
8. Kakashi Hatake
- Anime: Naruto
- Traits: Cool, Calm, Analytical, Talented, and Caring
Our team seven’s sensei is a freaking cool character who literally copied thousands of techniques and can face any enemy head-on. He’s a pretty awesome character, and he’s so lovable and caring.
7. Madara Uchiha
- Anime: Naruto
- Traits: Strong af, Egoistic, and Cool
Who wouldn’t know Madara the Legend? He is one of the coolest characters from Naruto anime, and the way he took the whole Shinobi army and five kages by himself makes him a badass character.
6. Roronoa Zoro
- Anime: One Piece
- Traits: No Sense of Direction, Badass, Loyal, Stong and Loves Swords
If Zoro isn’t the coolest anime character ever, then who is? A single scene from Thriller Bark arc where he takes Luffy’s pain and still stands after losing all the blood shows how determined and loyal Zoro is.
I can’t put how well-written character Zoro is, and he’s pretty strong. Every moment with him is badass, and he gets cooler with every word he speaks.
5. Saitama
- Anime: One-Punch Man
- Traits: Cool, Funny, Strong, and Badass
Saitama is the coolest anime character ever, and I mean it. Even though One Punch Man was a pretty average story (at least for me), Saitama is the whole reason I enjoyed every minute of it.
He became a hero for fun, talks with such a cool sense of humor, and whatever he does, he looks pretty cool. So, Saitama is definitely one of the coolest anime characters ever.
4. Minato Uzumaki
- Anime: Naruto
- Traits: Cool asf, Strong, Caring, and Smart
Minato is known as “Yellow Flash of Hidden Leaf” and literally the coolest Hokage ever. With his wits and battle prowess, he leaves every shinobi speechless and helpless.
During his fight with Nine Tails, we have seen him execute a plan in just a couple of minutes against the invincible Tobi.
3. Escanor
- Anime: The Seven Deadly Sins
- Traits: Strong, Arrogant, and Cool asf
First of all, I want to applaud the person who created this character, and I wonder what’s going on in this head. Escanor is the coolest anime character ever. If you can remember his fight against Estarossa, you’d agree with me in an instant.
2. Morel
- Anime: Hunter x Hunter
- Traits: Calm, Cool, Badass, and Intelligent
Morel is the coolest character in the whole anime, and he’s definitely underrated. Not gonna lie; he looked sort of lame initially but damn, who would’ve guessed he’s the most badass and coolest in the anime?
1. Archer
- Anime: Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works
- Traits: Strong, Badass, and Dark-skinned
Archer is the most badass character in Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works. While Ufotable is the reason why most people get into the anime, Archer is the sole reason why we stay until the end.
What a character! Fate is all about characters’ ideals, and Archer’s character is exceptionally well-written. I’m afraid I have to disagree if you say there is any other coolest character than Archer.

Well, these are the Top 50 Coolest anime characters I’ve come across, and I hope that I didn’t miss any important characters on the list. I’ve covered almost every popular anime (at least the ones I’ve known and seen), so there will be a lot of known faces.
