“Jujutsu Kaisen is new-age action, dark fantasy series full of strong characters. It follows the story of Itadori Yuji, who accidentally ate a cursed object which made him a vessel of a great curse that existed in the past. Now he is awaiting his death sentence.”
Because the series is recently started, there are only a few worthy of being called strongest Jujutsu Kaisen characters. This anime’s characters are a bit unusual compared to other series, but I managed to make this list of the top 10 strongest Jujutsu Kaisen characters ranked!
Strongest Jujutsu Kaisen Characters Ranked!
10. Yuji Itadori
Although Yuji Itadori is the protagonist, he is still not the strongest character in Jujutsu Kaisen. But he definitely deserves to be on the list as he is the only one capable enough to be the vessel of Sukuna.
Yuji is one of his school’s most powerful and talented students, Satoru Gojo placing him on the same level of potential as Yuta Okkotsu and Kinji Hakari as one of the three students who he believes will surpass his strength.
9. Megumi Fushiguro
Megumi Fushiguro is the current serving head of the Zenin family, Son of Toji Fushiguro. His skills even attracted the king of curses, Sukuna himself. He inherited the Ten shadow technique, which allows him to summon ten shikagami to fight and devour curses.
According to Satoru, Megumi has equal or even more potential and skill than Yuji. He can contend with and even defeat special grade cursed spirits. Mei Mei and Todo recommended him and his friends to be Grade 1 sorcerers.
He is above Yuji as of now because he can do Domain Expansion, even though it’s not perfect yet. These are enough reasons why Megumi is one of the strongest Jujutsu Kaisen characters.
8. Maki Zenin
I believe she is one of the strongest Jujutsu Kaisen anime/ manga characters. Although like Toji, she doesn’t have any curse energy, her physical strength makes up for it. She uses cursed tools to exorcise the curses.
Maki originally possessed very low levels of cursed energy. She couldn’t even see curses without glasses imbued with cursed energy. And With Mai’s death, she lost the remaining cursed energy she had.
But This improved Maki’s Heavenly Restriction in a similar fashion to Toji Fushiguro, making her immensely more powerful.
7. Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta is the main protagnist of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High. Which is the prequel series to Jujutsu Kaisen and is currently to be released as a movie. You estimate his power by knowing the fact that he is one of the four special graders.
He dominated all of the Kyoto students and defeated Suguru Geto after releasing the limiters on Rika’s power in the night parade of 100 demons.
Yuta’s great power comes from being a descendant of one of Japan’s Big Three Vengeful Spirits. It is the reason he cursed Rika when he rejected her death at a young age.
6. Yuki Tsukomo
Well, we don’t know much about her. But still, she is one of the four registered Special grade sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen. You can tell it by how she trained Aoi Todo, who is a powerful 1st-grade sorcerer.
While her current abilities are unknown, her designation as a special grade sorcerer defines her as a possessor of the ability to exorcise special grade cursed spirits.
She believes that research focused on finding a way to wipe out curses altogether instead of exorcising them when they appear is a better way.
5. General Mahoraga
Although Megumi is not as strong as many characters in this list individually, he unleashed one of the most dangerous shinigami we have ever seen in this series, General Mahoraga, which even gave Sukuna quite an amount of trouble as well.
General Mahoraga displays an impressive set of skills. The shikigami is known to be hard to tame. It took a lot of effort, even from Sukuna at 15 fingers Sukuna to take him down. Megumi with General Mahoraga would be completely overpowering, but sadly, he hasn’t gained control over it.
4. Toji Fushiguro
Toji was a former member of the Zenin family and the infamous assassin known as the Sorcerer Killer. He was also the father of Megumi Fushiguro and the former enemy of Satoru Gojo.
He is one of the strongest characters in Jujutsu Kaisen that has slain some of the strongest sorcerers despite being unable to wield cursed energy.
Toji Fushiguro was so strong that it took the strongest of them, i.e., Gojo Satoru, to defeat him and even that with many difficulties.
3. Kenjaku: Pseudo Geto
Kenjaku is one of the primary antagonists. His primary aim is to evolve humanity with cursed energy. Although his powers are currently unknown, we do know that he is a sorcerer from ancient times. He keeps transferring his mind and taking their abilities and identities.
As a thousand-years old sorcerer, he possesses incredible knowledge about curses, cursed techniques, and the jujutsu world overall. Tengen stated him to be the second most powerful barrier user after himself.
2. Sukuna
We do not know the full potential of Sukuna as of now, but we do know that he was once renowned for being the King of Curses and a title as big as that is not something that is bestowed over nothing.
He has plans of his own that we are currently completely unaware of. The same goes for his cursed techniques.
Despite being trapped inside Yuji Itadori’s body and limited to a fraction of his power, Sukuna can easily defeat Special Grade Curses, and his Reverse Cursed Technique can regenerate Yuji’s limbs and even bring him back from the dead.
1. Gojo Satoru
He is literally the strongest Jujutsu Kaisen character and descended from one of the Three Great Families. Gojo has inherited two incredibly powerful Innate Techniques from his line, Limitless and Six Eyes.
His overwhelming strength kept the entire society of sorcerers on balance, which is evident from the chaos that rises after he is sealed. Gojo Satoru is the strongest Jujutsu Kaisen character as far as we know.

So these were my top 10 Jujutsu Kaisen Anime/ Manga characters. There were some unusual characters, but I think all these deserve to be on the list.
