There is no denying this absolute fact. As the franchise made its way to the western countries, the term ‘Pokemon’ has almost become synonymous with the word adorable. However, these cutest characters in the pokemon universe are not to be treated lightly. Most of these adorable creatures possess immense levels of prowess.
We have tried to sort the cutest pokemon keeping in mind not only their popularity in terms of cuteness but also the level of their power and the possibilities of what they may evolve into!

10. Teddiursa
A teddy! That’s all you could think when you look at this ursine pokemon. Usually habituated to caves, this adorable little thing evolves into the powerful Ursaring with all its ursine powers.
However, it may further evolve into the even more powerful Ursaluna when exposed to a peat block under a full moon.
9. Cyndaquil
The fire mouse pokemon with red spots on its back which can erupt into flames. A tough nut to fight even in this stage of evolution, this adorable pokemon’s final evolution is a hot one – Typhlosion.
8. Squirtle
We all remember Ash’s Squirtle from the anime, of course – one cheeky fella! Squirtle is itself very sturdy owing to its shell. The final evolution form—Blastoise, is a powerhouse with immense water power (get it?)
7. Bulbasaur
Well, just because a Charmander is more cute than a Bulbasaur! Being a combo of grass and poison type, Bulbasaur has a variety of attacks in its arsenal. Bulbasaur evolves into the mighty Venusaur (we all know that, duh!)
6. Charmander
Well, it’s already decided Charmander is more adorable than Bulbasaur! Charmander gains its strength from the heat of its ever-blazing tail. Charmander finally evolves into the grumpy Charizard having the abilities of both the fire and dragon type pokemon.
5. Chikorita
Introduced a little later into the pokemon universe, Chikorita is definitely one of the cutest pokemon characters. This leaf type pokemon possesses all the moves of the typical grass type. It evolves finally into the elegant Meganium.
4. Togepi
Tokki tokki preeee!! Who doesn’t remember this little bundle of absolute cuteness from the anime series, right? Togepi is a rare fairy pokemon with great power to boot. Togepi evolves into Togetic and finally into the fairy/flying type pokemon Togekiss.
3. Dratini
Dragons can be cute, and Dratini is proof of that. Apart from being one of the most adorable characters in the pokemon universe, Dratini also leads a humble lifestyle—living underwater and feeding only on food that sinks to the bottom. Dratini evolves into the majestic Dragonair!
2. Eevee
Eevee is plain and simple yet cute. Eevee itself may not be as powerful as the rest of the cute pokemon in this list, but the plethora of evolution options it has really deserves commendation.
Until now, there are eight (08) different pokemon Eevee can evolve into, depending on various factors like the use of evolution stones, which time of day it is evolving or which region.
They range from fire, water, electric, ice, psychic, dark, grass, and even fairy type pokemon. Even so, not only does Eevee have several options in terms of evolution—each of these evolved pokemon are powerhouses in their own respective capacity.
1. Pikachu
Peee – pika – choo!!! From the anime to games, the very reason for the spread of the pokemon franchise in the western countries is the cutest of the pokemon characters. Anyone with enough fuzz in their heart will melt at the very sight of this adorable little rodent.
Pikachu has simply won hearts since the day it was introduced to the world of humans. There have been various stories in Pokemon which are solely based on the adventures of Pikachu with his buddy Ash Ketchum. Such was the inspiration that western cinema featured it in the film Pokemon: Detective Pikachu.

But it seems there would be no rest for us if we do not mention the names of a few pokemon just because they do not fall in the classification criteria by which this list has been made: Mew (the legendary mythic psychic pokemon), Skitty (the kitten pokemon), Jigglypuff (with all its sweet voice and rage) and Shaymin (the grass type mythic pokemon).
